Adventures of Mom at Silver Springs State Park
The historic Silver Springs Attraction dates back to the late 1800’s. The Florida State Park service rescued it and is in the process of renovations, including a new boardwalk encircling what was once the Ross Allen Reptile Island, better known as the Cypress Swamp. The glass bottom bottoms still take visitors over the fresh water springs on the Silver River. Park guests can also rent kayaks or canoes (or bring their own) and paddle the Fort King waterway and the Silver River.
